I had septoplasty and it created very slight change in nose shape, very subtle...after surgery my nose is more straighter than before

This happened to my sister. The surgeon severed a nerve and removed more tissue than necessary. She not only has partial paralysis but also has a big deep caved in area.

What a wonderful man this Doctor is, so humble and yet able to do real big operations. Just a pity that the music was so loud, that some of their words went totally under the noise.

The talent that God gave these surgeons is truly a blessing. I’m sure they have touched many lives and changed them for the better.

I do not understand why the woman waited so long to deal with this growth. I had a slow growing Parotid Tumors for years. Yes every doctor said it was a cyst. When I shaved my beard, I saw it was now slightly beyond my jaw bone. I really questioned my GP on the thing and he sent me to a general surgeon who did a lot of facial cyst and tumor removals. He said he didn't know what it was but whatever it was it did not belong there. It was a cancerous tumor. I was 39. For this woman, where the hell was her care team??? The location of the thing screams Parotid Tumor. Did she Google the thing?? The first line of defense for your health is you.

Why did she leave it so long? It's so sad that she didn't have the confidence to demand it was taken more seriously. It's even more sad that America is so blinkered and unkind when it comes to basic human rights such as health care.

I have 25 year old parotid tumor, how i wish Dr. Ryan could visit the Philippines!

I live in Australia and am an RN. I hope everyone who has seen this lady's story has learnt a valuable lesson, which is this: Do not EVER be afraid to question and challenge a doctor, go get a few different opinions, and remember that benign can always progress too malignant. A lump should always be biopsied and sent to pathology unless the Dr is 100% certain he/she knows what it is definitively, and then you still question them as to how they know bla bla. I thank God I have knowledge as I have prevented friends and myself from going down the wrong path with a so-called trained Dr and specialist!
